Because of my desire for on-going education in the painting industry, I have joined several professional organizations. And it is largely through these associations that VanDerKolk Painting has grown to become one of West Michigan’s most successful painting companies.

Painting and Decorating Contractors of America
I serve as the Vice President of the local PDCA Chapter and have also served at the state level. PDCA provides a code of ethics and professional business practices that members are obligated to honor. I believe in the strength of the professional painting community. It raises the level of professionalism and accountability and challenges all of us who belong to be our best.

The Summit Group
The Summit Group provides business coaching and resources for painting businesses at an in-depth level where monthly and annual benchmarks are set and measured.

The Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce
The Grand Rapids Chamber enables me to meet some of our community’s greatest business leaders and learn from their vast business experiences.
