From my initial contact with Tom VanDerKolk regarding a bid to repaint the Sanctuary at Madison Square Church through the actual work there were no problems, issues, or other questionable circumstances to change this approval.
VanDerKolk Painting's bid was reasonable and Tom was willing to make suggestions to the original specifications that were very knowledgeable and only added to the quality of the work.
The painting crew was polite, efficient, and able to work with the specific needs of Madison in terms of scheduling and ongoing, limited use of the Sanctuary as the job proceeded; the project was begun and finished in the agreed-upon time-frame.
The results were exceptional, and comments from staff and congregants were overwhelmingly positive. The room is lighter, brighter, and overall looks ‘new’ which is a real improvement in a large, 16-year-old room that was very well used and abused!
I would not hesitate to solicit future bids from VanDerKolk Painting and can only describe this company as efficient, skilled, and willing to go above and beyond in their work.

The crew leader and crew that did our work were amazing! The crew leader was excellent. He was efficient, thorough, helpful and did a superb job of organizing his crew. Everyone worked constantly and well together. I especially liked how the crew cleaned up their entire work area, including vacuuming the areas, before they left every night! They also covered with plastic (where there were no doors to close) the doorways going into other areas of the house.
